Kid Congo and The Pink Monkey Birds es la última reencarnación del legendario Kid Congo Powers, guitarrista vudú miembro de grupos seminales, sexis y pantanosos como The Cramps, The Gun Club y Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds. Con The Pink Monkey Birds Kid vuelve a sus raices tocando la música primitiva que siempre le ha inspirado creando un cocktail de garaje crudo, rock chicano, fuzz y líneas de bajo llenas de soul.
Sus discos son una jungla psicodélica llena de canciones volcánicas con las que es imposible resistirse a mover el esqueleto.
La banda ha editado un nuevo disco, lleva por título “La Araña Es La Vida” y lo ha grabado el cuarteto titular: el legendario Kid Congo (de Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, The Cramps y The Gun Club), Kiki Solis (Knife in The Water, Rhythm of Black Lines) Ron Miller (Switch Hitter, Up The Academy) y Mark Cisneros (Medications, Deathfix).
